Cheerful Night

It is an old memory, long passed before thou wast even born, Trey...
But it is one of mine favorite memories that I had with mine family.
Before they faded into beings of the past one by one, either because the flow of time
whispered to the Reverend or their will had them put a peaceful end to their immortal lives,
we used to amuse ourselves in many different ways.
One of those was chanting and playing instruments together in harmony.
If we had time that is.
Banishing the Legion as far as we could always had priority, as thou surely knowest.
It did not occur too often, yet it was always a grand pleasure sitting beneath the blackened
night sky which was being illuminated by the bright shining stars that we
knew looked down on us in a grand circle, and act as a small orchestra.
Being something whole- in another sense than being whole in the circle of The 12-
It was one of the greatest feelings I came to experience.
Happiness.
And Love.
The melodies we played, ancient melodies passed down to honor the Great Lord, ancient songs
sung in Starie, the language of our Great Lord's race, and all in harmony.
Some of mine family members had more simple, acoustic instruments, they concentrated more
on the chanting while other strum, blew or gently pounded the enchanting melody, accompanied
by mysterious beats, rattling and clanking.
It made us all smile in the most happy way, and let a light shine upon us.
A light that the Koix could never break through, too much love and happiness for it to even
handle.
I do miss that time, the feeling of this very certain harmony, but there be always the
memory that I can lay mine mind on... With many more.
I cannot mourn over the past, and I should not either.
They would not want me to. *smiles*

Hello, everyone~ ^_^
Oh my, this piece... It took me a lot of time until I actually, for real finished it.
This idea of the Original 12 harmonically playing music together had been stuck in my head
for a long while now, and I already had a sketch going pretty quick. But then... hm.
It was difficult to get the poses even half decent, and I didn't have that much time to work on
it because school had started again etc....
Anyway. It is finally finished and I am so happy with the outcome!
(Note that most of the characters' designs aren't the proper ones but shh)
Okay, now to the names and instruments.
Males,
Buen (Beanian): Violin
William (Human): Flute
Alec (Ghastium): Lute
Fredrick (NoFace): Drums/Bongos
Derek (Mushroom): Triangle
Draco (Koopa): Tambourine
Females,
Sheri (Beanian): Lyre
Armalia (Human): Pan flute
Zuana (Ghastium): Claves
Tiana (NoFace): Drums/Bongos
Shea (Mushroom): Maracas
Leah (Koopa): Marimba

All of the females but one (Sheri) are mine, and all of the males but one (William) are *DordtChild's. : D
